PORTRAITS

I try to see beyond the surface; exalt the detail and provoke in the observer the desire to meet the subject portrayed. This is how it doesn't matter what, who, or how the model appears in the photograph: the face that avoids the lens, the one that covers its features, turns its back on us, or remains inert.

In my connection with the model a game is established in which trust fluctuates. Sometimes the subject gives himself up to the lens, transparent; unveils his soul, showing himself as he intimately feels he is. Sometimes he retreats and evidences what he wants, or maybe what he can.

The subjects share their story in an instant. The camera is just a witness.
